"...to make you the best version of you..."
I signed up for a personal trainer back in February of 2017. It turned out to be a nightmare that resulted in several injuries and a case of Rhabdo1. I basically thought it was the worst decision (and one of the most expensive) decisions of my life. When I only had 13 sessions left, I was given a new trainer, Jim Porterfield. Oh my word, what a difference it would have made to have him from day 1. I would have been at a totally different place mentally and physically had Jim been my trainer from the beginning. First of all, he wanted to know about my overall wellness, any injuries, anything that could effect my workouts and then some. For example, I have scoliosis, so he said I should never have a bar on my shoulders as it can compress the spine. EVERY SINGLE TRAINER WAS AWARE OF MY SCOLIOSIS and they ALL had me do weighted squats with a bar on my shoulders. This is just one tiny example out of dozens of how Jim is different. He takes an interest, his goal is to make you the best version of you and to prepare you for life and aging gracefully. I have more strength than I have ever had, I have more flexibility than I've ever had, and I feel physically better than I've ever felt with a trainer. He teaches you, encourages you and actually pays attention. If you're doing something wrong, he'll correct AND tell you why. Amazing. If I was made of money, I'd sign up for another year with Jim.

"...very holistic-incorporating your personal physical and life goals..."
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Jim Porterfield who is a professional physical fitness consultant and a dedicated personal trainer. Jim's workouts are matched by a wonderful sense of humor, and his vigorous drive is inspirational. He is very thoughtful of your needs and has an approach that is very holistic-incorporating your personal physical and life goals (which includes discussions on your nutrition and your life). Jim is affable, knowledgeable and professional in every sense and takes a different, more inclusive aspect to training and results-driven change. He has improved my flexibility and core strength, as an older adult I needed someone that could understand the issues I faced. He was able to recognize both negative and positive factors and was able to influence me so the positive prevailed. He has great interpersonal skills.
